🎱 Mazda 3 1.6 Diesel Dpf Regeneration

Hey guys, I have question ref dpf regeneration and EGR cooler on tdi. I had 2.0 TDI B7 Passat in past and MK6 Golf 1.6 TDI. Egr cooler failed on both vehicles after short ownership. B7 left me on hard shoulder in Netherlands, after nearly 3000 miles trip glow coil light started flashing and car went int With this in mind, and with more and more diesel four-wheel drives being relegated to grocery-getting and school duties, many manufacturers are opting for an automated burn-off cycle, where the ECU will increase temperatures with fuel loading and other tricks, and force the engine to undertake a ‘DPF regen’. With ongoing issues with DPF "Four months since buying a 2014 Mazda 3 2.2-litre diesel and on the day of collection the DPF warning light came on. The garage has attempted to repair this but after several attempts the issue remains. They have cleaned the DPF, replaced a sensor, cleaned the fuel injectors, taken the DPF apart and removed ash from it. We have a Mazda 6 on our fleet, just less than 3 years old but nearly 70,000 miles. Over the last few thousand miles DPF light has been on. Went in for service and was charged for DPF regen (£50.00) which did not fix the fault. Been back in for diagnostics and have been advised this: "DPF light on due to timing chain stretch causing an angle If you got out during a regen it stank of burning at the bottom of the windscreen on the drivers side, guess that was closest to the DPF, first time it happened I thought the car was on fire. In 5 years never saw a light on the dash but the dealer did 2 forced regens during services (FOC) when the ECU had recorded an incomplete regen. All DPF equipped cars carry out active regeneration. It’s simply how you describe the process it’s not a separate technology. The Renault 1.5 diesel is very clean running however and these rarely suffer DPF issues though as with any Renault they suffer badly as they age from trim and electrical problems plus timing belts are prone to Cleaning a vehicle’s diesel particulate filter (DPF) is a critical job to do. Only expert DIYers can do the job perfectly without damaging the filter. Hence, you need to contact a professional auto mechanic to do the job if you’re not sure of doing it nicely. The cost of cleaning a diesel particulate filter is around $85 to $100. Anyway it seems that the manager here has a customer with a 1.6 TDI CR with ongoing DPF/regen problems. One of the suits here is in the technical department and I overheard that they have currently got 1500 1.6 CR cars regestered with DPF/regen problems in the UK Not good Fri 3 Jan 2014 16:39. Mazda CX-5 - Diesel in oil - xtrailman. You need to reject the car, or demand a new engine. My car has no oil rise level at around 3.7K miles, doing only short trips, very little motorway, and around 90% driving under 2K revs, typically 1250 to 1500 rpm is typical for this engine. DPF exhaust pressure sensor. Your Mercedes-Benz ECU triggers the regeneration process when it detects that buildup in the DPF is restricting exhaust flow. Key to this is the exhaust pressure sensor. Like any other sensor, this can fail, causing ash, soot and particles to continue building up long past a safe level. 1. Truck Year. 2015. Jun 13, 2022. #5. If it has another other options then great, but the only requirement is that it can do the regen on my 2015 Ram bighorn Ecodiesel. On the UK KIa forum thare has been much mention of the fuel consupmtion of the Ceed 1.6 CRDi car - which I thought had the same power train as the current i30 1.6 CRDi. However they talk about DPF regeneration and its effect on overall fuel economy. On my first mazda 6 with 2.0 diesel engine, one of the injectors was that bad, that car was stuttering while driving, but the regeneration interval was far from being halved. And consumption at that time was 0.5l higher. What is the 'normal' regeneration interval on mazda 3? 200km? I dont want to empty the dpf if its possible. I know this is the best way but car only do long travels and if its possible to remove additive tank for me is ok. The car is a mazda 3 1.6 edc16c34. Dtc on ecu: p2584.
